About
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) specializing in geriatrics. I have more than ten years experience in the field of social work, with seven of those years in geriatric mental health.
My extensive experience includes work with Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, depression, anxiety, chronic illness as well as grief and loss issues. I also facilitate caregiver support groups and am very well versed with the myriad of issues related to being a caregiver, and caring for the caregiver.
My work is infused with a holistic perspective, noting the power of a 3-part system, body, mind, and spirit. I believe that only when we consciously connect and call on all parts of self, that true healing and transformation can and does occur!
I have always been passionate about working with older adults and I feel that my values reflect this desire. I deeply value quality of life throughout the lifespan, engaging elders in their communities, encouraging independence and enhancing one’s dignity at all times. I have the utmost respect for my elders and I work from the belief that it is never too late for making positive life changes.
